According to the guidelines of the Express Entry Program, a candidate need to secure minimum points on the CRS to get the Invitation to apply. Here in this article, we will discuss the previous CRS scores and cut-off to give you some insights about the process, and then you can evaluate your eligibility as well as make predictions about the result.

Things to keep in mind from the previous results for predicting CRS score for 2021

  • Firstly, if the time span between two express entry draws has been more than two weeks, then the cut-off has risen while if the span is lesser than two weeks, the cut-offs have been lowered. This may be due to the fact that a long time means better candidate selection with higher scores and eligibility.
  • Another factor is the size of the draw, if the size is larger than average, then the score or cut-off is lower.

However, the cut-off may decrease than last year as per the Canadian government’s immigration program for 2019, 2020 and 2021. Under this program, they want to invite more highly skilled people to the country.

Following table shows the admission targets according to the 2019-2021 Immigration levels Plan through economic immigration categories:

Since the government wants to have more immigrants, the number draws may increase and that would bring down the cut-off score.

Canada PR Visa with Low CRS Score in 2020

are you having a low CRS score? Do not worry, there are other ways as well. There are two other factors that can help you get the ITA even with a low CRS score.

  • Firstly, you can get a provincial nomination certification. This would help you score around 600 on CRS which would definitely get you the ITA.
Moreover, there are certain PNP where you can even get an ITA with a lower score of 300 or so.
  • Another way is to get a full-time job offer (pre-arranged) under any occupation which is in the NOC list. You can get points between 50 to 200 on CRS depending on the type of skill set required for the job you got offered.
