Prince Edward Island is one of eastern Canada's Maritime Provinces. It is famous for its unique coastal culture, growing agriculture, fishing, and tourism.PEI offers rewarding career opportunities and a business community that is supportive of entrepreneurs. The small population of this Island seeks to meet its skill requirements through its unique immigration program that is called – The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program. This Island is the ideal place to study, live, work, and raises a family. It offers a variety of pathways for the immigration of skilled foreign candidates. It has three main categories with different streams-

  1. PEI Express Entry
  2. PEI Labour Impact
  3. PEI Business Impact

PEI Express Entry

This program invites candidates who have the Express Entry profile under the Federal Government's Express Entry Program. If the interested candidates qualify for PEI Express Entry and meet all the criteria then they are easily invited to live and work in the particular province. It has three economic immigration classes-

  • Federal Skilled Worker Program
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

The PEI PNP Express Entry stream has an advantage- the candidates need not have a job offer from an employer in PEI at the time of submitting their expression of interest (EOI). A priority is given to the candidates who want to live and work in PEI. The candidates who get a very good chance to receive an invitation to apply (ITA), score 600 points to their CRS score.

Like the other PNPs, under PEI PNP you have to create your profile and submit it on the PEI Expression Of interest System. EOI is a pre-application step, it is not the application. When you receive your nomination, you have to accept it through your MyCIC account online. Then you need to submit your relevant application forms, after that, you will get your ITA for permanent residence (PR) Visa from IRCC. This process will charge CAD $300 which is nonrefundable.
